Brown Eggs

Our eggs come from happy, healthy, free-range hens! We created a “Chicken Paradise” here at Wunberg Produce! Our chicken coop was specifically designed to create a comfortable perch, and have east windows for lots of early morning sunshine, thermostats for temperature control, and two large fans for exhaust and fresh air. Their outside play area is even more important though! These two legged compost makers naturally like to forage, be in fresh air, and bask in the bright warm sunshine. It is their natural instinct to forage and scratch in the dirt, eat protein rich insects, and peck at fresh green blades of grass. To learn more about our laying hens click here.

Honey

Wunberg Honey comes from hives around our farm and several area farms in the Stateline area. Wunberg Honey now is processed in an old school house converted into licensed “processing plant”. In the extracting room at the plant, the process has remained the same since 1963, although most of the machines have been updated. The honey is extracted by the traditional processes. The full frames (honey combs) are put through the uncapper to remove the wax cappings from the comb’s cells. To learn more about honey and our processes click here.

Maple Syrup

There is nothing better than Pure Wisconsin Maple syrup on pancakes along with berries from Wunberg Produce. I believe the best Maple Syrup comes from maple trees that grow in our woods in Birnamwood, Wisconsin. North Central Wisconsin is home to some of the best maple trees in the world. These maple trees produce the sap that becomes All Natural Wunberg Maple Syrup. Click here to learn more about our maple syrup and our process.

Canned Goods

I use to just can for the fun of it. I would have never realized two years ago that canning would be such big part of our business and I would be designing/building a state inspected kitchen to produce hundreds of jars of jams, jellies, salsas, and pickles of every kind.
